Nice HDR shot. I’ve been working in HDR for about six months mostly doing shots of Lake Powell area Real Estate Listings.
It’s tough to get a pure blue sky to look right, without the ever present gray-ish overtone. Besides messing with it in photoshop – one thing i’ve found is to wait until there is some sort of cloud up there. The clouds end up looking almost 3-d.
I have to go back and fix some of my earlier work as I’ve found that after generating and tonemapping the HDR, opening them again in Digital Photo Professional and putting the sharpness up helps with the sometimes blurry edges.
It is a learning process for sure. I have found that HDR photos are great in the outdoors and work really well, in all places, on real wood kitchen cabinets Amazing results actually!
